About Alice

Based in Bridport, Dorset, Alice is a proud marathon runner - London 2023 for Tommy’s, with several half-marathons and a strong Park Run habit to her name.

Running soundtrack: If it’s Eminem, she’s moving.

Post-run refuel: Boiled eggs on toast. Rumour has it her partner Nick is considering getting chickens to support the training block - commitment! Nick will also be joining Alice for the final part of the marathon so they can cross the finish line together.

Alice & Nick’s Fertility Story

Alice and Nick began trying for a family in 2018 and heartbreakingly experienced five miscarriages, including one after IVF treatment.

Alice was diagnosed as a Balanced Translocation Chromosome carrier, meaning further fertility treatment will likely be needed if they continue their journey to grow their family.

Alice is passionate about sharing their story to build awareness, empathy and understanding around miscarriage and baby loss. As a career and business coach, she has created an Instagram page to support people navigating fertility struggles while balancing their careers.

Tommy’s has always been a charity they have turned to, from the midwife support line to the reassurance that their research helps so many families facing similar challenges. This will be Alice’s third fundraising challenge for Tommy’s, with her fourth, the London Landmarks Half Marathon - taking place just two weeks later in April 2026!
