Northumberland
🏃♀️Hello! I’m Rebecca Gillon — taking on Northumberland.
Together, Olly and I will take on @fyldecoastrunners “Run the Raid” trail marathon in Lindisfarne — a multi-terrain race tracing historic coastal routes to Holy Island, shaped by the area’s rich history and dramatic scenery.
I’m running for my daughter, Wren, who was stillborn in February 2024. @tommys supported my husband and me after our loss and continued to support us through my pregnancy with our rainbow baby, Lark, at the Tommy’s Rainbow Clinic in Manchester.💗
You can support Marathons for Miracles and help to fund the research that saves babies’ lives by donating to @tommys here.
Route details
"Run the Raid” on Lindisfarne, pays tribute to the daring Viking invasion of Lindisfarne in 793 AD. Starting and finishing on the historic Holy Island, the course leads us across to Spittal and back, combining coastal paths, quiet lanes, and stunning sea views.
Northumberland was Lark’s first holiday destination, my granny was born there, and after living in Denmark for five years, the Viking-era backdrop of “Run the Raid” feels especially fitting.
